Abstract:

Objective

To report the short term follow-up results of 3 cases of S-type bladder flap reconstruction of ureter in emergency treatment of long segment ureter disconnection.

Method

A retrospective analysis was made of 3 cases of long segment ureter disconnection during ureteroscopic operation. S-type bladder flap was used to reconstruct the ureter. Postoperative results and complications, summarize and share the treatment experience were recorded.

Result

All of the 3 patients were male, with upper ureteral calculi, 2 on the left side and 1 on the right side. One of long segment ureter disconnection was 16 cm, one was 22 cm, and one was 26 cm. The S-type bladder flap was used to reconstruct the ureter for emergency treatment. Only one case had leakage of urine, which disappeared after 3 weeks. Three cases had no stenosis and hydronephrosis after 6 months of operation. Three cases had the symptoms of decreased bladder volume, which was manifested as frequent urination, and the number of normal urination was restored after half a year.

Conclusion

The short-term follow-up results of S-type bladder flap reconstruction of ureter in emergency treatment of long segment ureter disconnection is good, with fewer complications, which helps to reduce doctor-patient disputes, but the long-term effect still needs further follow-up.
