Abstract:

Objective

To explore the clinical value of transrectal real-time biplane ultrasound guided transvaginal prostate puncture.

Methods

The clinical and pathological data of 82 patients who underwent transrectal real-time biplane ultrasound-guided transperineal prostate puncture in Lingnan Hospital, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from October 2017 to October 2019 were analyzed retrospectively, and the postoperative complications were analyzed.

Results

Among 82 patients, the success rate of puncture was 100% (82/82), and 40 patients (40/82) were diagnosed as prostate cancer by pathology. Postoperative complications occurred in 21 cases, including fever in 14 cases (17.1%), gross hematuria in 4 cases (4.9%), pain in 3 cases (3.7%).

Conclusion

Transrectal real-time biplane ultrasound-guided transperineal prostate puncture is safe and effective, with fewer complications, suitable for clinical application.
