Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the safety and efficacy of percutaneous resectoscope deroofing in the treatment of simple renal cyst.

Methods

Retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 46 patients with simple renal cyst treated by percutaneous resectoscope deroofing in the Department of Guangxi International Zhuang Medicine Hospital and Weihai Municipal Hospital from April 2011 to April 2021.

Results

Among the 46 cases, 1 case was converted to open surgery due to small vessel hemorrhage, and the remaining 45 cases were successfully completed, with a success rate of 97.8%.The operation time ranged from 15 to 125 minutes. 1 case had bleeding, 2 cases had ascites, and the rest had no organ injury, no infection, and no electrolyte disorder. The incidence of operative complications was 6.5%. No recurrence of renal cysts was found during the follow-up of 16 to 129 months.

Conclusions

Percutaneous resectoscope deroofing in treatment of simple renal cyst has the advantages of less damage, faster recovery, fewer complications and lower recurrence rate, and has good safety and efficacy.
