Abstract:

Objective

Using CT data and 3D reconstruction, to explore the common anatomical features of the accessory renal artery.

Methods

A total of 211 adult patients who underwent urinary or whole abdominal CT examination in our hospital from October 2015 to March 2018 were reported. The imaging data were reconstructed in 3D using 3D-Mimics software. The characteristics of pararenal arteries on 2D and 3D images were observed and measured.

Results

Among the 211 patients, a total of 297 adrenal renal arteries appeared. 67.77% were one type, 97.98% originated from the abdominal aorta, and 77.44% entered the kidney through the hilar. The adrenal artery that enters the kidney through the lower hilum is thicker than the one through the hilum (P<0.05). In the distance between the right adrenal artery and the ipsilateral renal artery (RRAD), the adrenal artery running on the ventral side of the inferior vena cava was longer than the dorsal side (P<0.05).

Conclusion

Combined with the data of anatomical observation and measurement of the accessory renal artery, it provides a theoretical basis for the further realization of "intelligent qualitative and intelligent location diagnosis" of the target organ after three-dimensional image reconstruction.
