Triple-port extraperitoneal laparoscopic radical prostatectomy combined with adjuvant therapy on locallized high-risk prostate cancer

Objective

To explore the therapeutic outcome of triple-port extraperitoneal laparoscopic radical prostatectomy(ELRP) combined with adjuvant therapy of locallized high-risk prostate cancer.

Methods

The data of patients with locallized high-risk prostate cancer who received triple-port ELRP combined with adjuvant therapy at our institute from April 2018 to January 2020 were anylzed retrospedtively. The operation time, blood loss, perioperative and long-term complication, postoperative urinary continence and biochemical recurrence were observed.

Results

The laparoscopic operations were performed successfully in all 11 patients. The operation time was (126±32) min, the blood loss was (60±41) ml. Postoperative complications included urinary leakage (2 patients) and wound fat liquefaction (1 patient). Afetr (21.9 ±6.7) months follow-up, there was no long-term complication. Nine patients (81.8%) can have complete urinary continence at the 12th month after surgery. Up to the last follow-up, one patient (9.1%) had biochemical recurrence.

Conclusions

Triple-port ELRP combined with adjuvant therapy is safe and feasible for locallized high-risk prostate cancer.
