Effect of self-made bladder irrigation colorimetric card on continuous bladder irrigation in patients after transurethral resection of prostate

Objective

To explore the effect of self-made bladder irrigation colorimetric card in continuous bladder irrigation after transurethral resection of prostate.

Methods

A total of 100 patients who underwent continuous bladder irrigation after transurethral resection of the urology department in our hospital from January 2019 to December 2019 were selected and randomly divided into control groups (judgment of patients based on clinical experience to adjust the irrigation drip rate) and the observation group (the self-made color chart used to judge the patient's drainage fluid to adjust the irrigation drip rate). The results of the indicators were compared.

Results

There was no significant difference in general data between the two groups (P>0.05); the postoperative bladder irrigation of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the catheter retention time was shorter than that of the control group; the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that of the control group; the satisfaction rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The self-made bladder irrigation colorimetric card can be used to reduce the amount of bladder irrigation during continuous bladder irrigation after transurethral resection of the prostate, shorten the bladder continuous irrigation time and catheter retention time, reduce postoperative complications, and improve patient satisfaction. It is worthy of being widely popularized.
