Single-site laparoscopic ureteroplasty for pelvic ectopic kidney with ureteral stenosis: a case report

Abstract

Abstract:

Objective

To report a case of right pelvic ectopic kidney with ureteral stenosis，and analyze its diagnosis and treatment.

Methods

The data of one case of right pelvic ectopic kidney with ureteral stenosis in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University was analyzed retrospectively，and summarize the surgical experiences.

Results

After improving the preoperative examination and contraindications of exclusion surgery，the patient with ureteral stricture of pelvic ectopic kidney was repaired and reconstructed under laparoendoscopic single-site surgery.The patient was discharged smoothly on the 8th day after the operation.After a follow-up of five months，there was no expansion of the right ureter，a small amount of localized fluid accumulation in the right kidney，and no urine leakage，urinary tract infection，bladder regurgitation and other complications.

Conclusion

Ectopic kidney is often without clinical symptoms，and can be definitely diagnosed by imaging examination，single-site laparoscopy is a safe and feasible minimally invasive treatment.
