Ureteral calculi in patient with urinary diversion:a case report and literature review

Objective

To explore the technique and effect of percutaneous nephrolithotripsy combined with flexible ureteroscope for treatment of ureteral calculi in patients with urinary diversion.

Methods

Clinical data of one case of ureteral-neobladder anastomotic calculi treated in our hospital in December 2017 were retrospectively analyzed and the related literatures were reviewed. The key procedure was to design a puncture channel before operation and accurately puncture to the upper group of renal calyceal.

Results

The patient was successfully received percutaneous nephrolithotripsy and flexible ureteroscope. The operation time was 70 minutes and the hospital stay was 7 days, and the intraoperative bleeding was 20 ml. There were no serious complications during and after operation, and the stone was completely removed.

Conclusion

Percutaneous nephrolithotripsy combined with flexible ureteroscope in the treatment of ureteral calculi after ureter diversion is safe and feasible.
