Construction of evaluation index system for core competence of outpatient nurses in urology specialized nursing clinic

Abstract:

Objective

To establish an evaluation index system for the core competence of urological specialist nursing outpatient visiting nurses, and to provide a reference basis for the admission and training of urological specialist nursing outpatient visiting nurses.

Methods

By referring to domestic and foreign literature, expert interviews, and research group discussions, the first draft of evaluation index system for core competence of out-patient nurses in urology specialist nursing clinics was drawn up, and 23 experts from 8 provinces and cities were consulted for 2 rounds by Delphi method.

Results

The evaluation index system of core competence of out-patient nurses in urology includes 4 first-level indexes (theoretical and practical ability, management ability, development ability, and professional humanistic characteristics), 20 second-level indexes, and 98 third-level indexes. The evaluation index system of core competence of out-patient nurses in urology includes 4 first-level indexes (theoretical and practical ability, management ability, development ability, and professional humanistic characteristics). In the two rounds of expert consultation, the positive coefficient of experts is 95.83%, and the authoritative coefficient is 0.904 and 0.912. In the second round of expert consultation, the harmony coefficients of expert opinions on the first, second, and third-level indexes are 0.243, 0.091, and 0.132 respectively (P<0.01).

Conclusion

The evaluation index system of core competence of urological nursing outpatient visiting nurses is scientific, reliable, important, and practical, which can provide a reference basis for admission and training of urological nursing outpatient on call nurses.
