Abstract:

Objective

Cushing's syndrome (CS) and pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL)are both endocrine tumors that can lead to dysregulation of adrenal hormones. When these conditions occur during pregnancy, they significantly increase the risk of maternal and fetal complications, and the perioperative surgical risks are exceptionally high.In this report,we present three cases: two of pregnancy complicated by CS and one complicated by PPGL,accompanied by a review of relevant literature. All three patients underwent laparoscopic surgery in the late second or third trimester, without any complications during or after the procedure. The two CS patients received hormone replacement therapy postoperatively, and all three patients demonstrated favorable outcomes during follow-up.Although pregnancy complicated by CS and PPGL is relatively rare and poses substantial surgical risks, laparoscopic surgery can be safely performed in the late stages of pregnancy with appropriate perioperative preparation.
